Robin Rizzini is an Italian-British industrial designer, specialized in furniture design.
Born in Genoa in 1973, he moved to Milan in 1993 and graduated in 1995 from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, where he currently teaches in the Master’s program in Industrial Design. After early experiences at McKimm Albemarle Studio and Progetto CMR, he began a significant collaboration in 2000 with Antonio Citterio, working on projects for major design brands.
In 2006, he opened his own design studio, and a few years later, in 2009, he co-founded Metrica in Milan with Lucio Quinzio Leonelli. The studio is internationally recognized for its innovative approach to furniture and design project development and management. He remained involved with Metrica until 2018, when he chose to work independently, focusing solely on his personal design practice.
Rizzini works in the field of interior design, with projects ranging from residential spaces to office contract design. His approach blends technical-industrial language with artistic-decorative expression, resulting in essential, versatile, functional, and expressive furnishings.
